The Plough, East Sheen
A lovely "village" pub just eight miles or so west of Big Ben, where they served us:
- Pulchritudinous Pea Ravioli
- Comely Crab Cakes
- Scrumptious Grilled Sardines
- Tasty Trout Salad
- Bostin' Burgers

The Tabernacle Twist
Caribbean cuisine here we come,
No, not a Billy Ocean song.
Rather a tabernacle treat,
Let's Get it On.
"Sorry, we've no gas, restaurant's closed,
The kitchen's firmly shut.
Try the Turkish down the road,
It's next to Pizza Hut".
So tabernacle plans crashed and burned,
Lunch was diverted, alas.
Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat,
Kebabs 'cos there was no gas.

Perfect to relax.
With some laid back, slinky jazz,

Abercorn Qualms
Recently refurbished,
A nice looking venue.
Same could be said,
For the new lunch menu.
That's five for brill,
Four for mussels ...
"Sorry, both are withdrawn,
Try the roast with brussels".
Feeling flat and somewhat shell shocked,
Whilst dodging the lure of sprouts,
There was still choice aplenty,
Thrice-fried chips quelling any doubts.
